The organization seeks to provide regular social gatherings as well as group opportunities for praying the Rosary together. Members are invited to pray the Rosary, 1) at funeral visitations for partner parish members, and 2) on Wednesday evenings during the Months of May & October at Sacred Heart Church. Funds raised through the organization are used to pay for Altar Bread & Wine for our Partner Parish Masses and other special projects. You can come to any of the monthly meetings, usually held on the 2nd Thursday. See the weekly Parish Bulletin for meeting notices and announcements of upcoming activities. The BINGO CLUB is one of our parish social clubs which operates our monthly St. Cecilia Bingo on the first Sunday of the month, September through May. Events are held in the Parish Hall located on the ground level of the St. Cecilia school building. Doors open at 12:30PM, with Bingo starting at 2PM. Refreshments are available. Funds raised by the Bingo Club help pay for improvements to our parish social hall and other special projects. The Bingo Club is currently in need of Volunteers to help during Bingo events. Required Clearances need to be current and in the Parish Office. Please contact the parish office at 724-423-3777 if you would like to volunteer, or with any questions. The COMBINED PARISH EVENTS COMITTEE is a group of volunteers from both Parishes, originally formed to plan and execute a celebration of the 140th and 125th anniversaries of Sacred Heart and St. Cecilia respectively, in 2016. After this very successful event, parishioners began requesting additional social activities. Several pot-luck dinners promoting camaraderie between the Parishes followed. The group was then asked to take over a long-standing Sacred Heart fundraiser, the 200 CLUB, when the current organizers were ready to retire. Subsequent events have included a combined parish spaghetti dinner, soup sale, Advent and Lenten retreats, to name just a few. The group is open to suggestions/recommendations from our parish Priest and parishioners for both social and fundraising events.
